ABOUT CHEF D. Lamar

I am self-taught and have a certificate in Personal Chef from the ACS Training Institute. My food brand was featured on Bay News 9 in 2018 under The Well in Lakeland, Florida. My love for cooking began on the grill and evolved from there. My childhood memories were sprinkled with the deep flavors of Eastern NC, Southern Classics, and fresh Florida Cuisine. My culinary expression is elevated, flavorful comfort food with an artistic twist with a spin toward African/Caribbean flare, however,  I pride myself in being able to cook anything. When not moonlighting as a chef, I manage my personal TOFA, a combination of my God-given gifts and abilities as a self-published author, aspiring 40+ model, style lover, and artist. I am also a corporate employee, decorated combat veteran, and proud father. I hold a bachelor's degree in Business Administration and several business certifications.
